Skiing and Snowboarding
LOCATION: Arizona Snowbowl for Alpine events, March 2nd and 3rd, 2013.
ENTRY PROCEDURES: Registration is taken up to and on race day but early sign-up is strongly encouraged. No registration will be taken after 9am on Race Day. Entry form and registration available: (1) on-line at www.flagstaffskiclub.org (2) by mail at Flagstaff Ski Club, (2 S. Beaver #118, Flagstaff, AZ. 86001) by calling the ski club at 928-773-9707 or Arizona Snowbowl at 928-779-1951.
*Note: Registration is NOT taken on the Grand Canyon State Games entry form, website or at the State Games Office.
DIVISION/COSTS: Skier Giant Slalom-$25, Snowboard Giant Slalom-$25, Skier cross-$25, Boarder cross-$25. Lift Ticket is required and is offered by the Arizona Snowbowl at half price.
EVENTS: Giant Slalom Race for skiers and snowboarders (intermediate/advanced)
Skier/Boarder Cross in the terrain park (9 years old and older only).
*Saturday, March 2nd, registration from 7:30am-9:00am each morning at the Agassiz Lodge (Intermediate/Advanced racers).
*The race will be a two run format with combined times. Racing begins at 10:30am.
*Sunday, March 3rd, registration from 7:30-9:00am in the Agassiz Lodge.
*Race will be a dual (head-to-head) elimination event. Racing begins at 10:30am.
AGES: Skiing and Snowboarding Giant Slalom (ages as of 12-31-12): 6 and under, 7-8,
9-10,11-12, 13-14, 15-16, 17-18, 19-25, 26-30, 31-35, 36-40, 41-45, 46-50, 51-60, 61-70,
71-80, 81-90. NOTE: Helmets required for all events.
AGES: Skier/Snowboarder Cross (ages as of 12- 31-12) 13-15, 16-18, 19-25, 26-35, 36-45, 46-55, 56+ *Must be at least 13yrs of age to compete in this event.

This sport is “NOT” part of the Grand Canyon State Summer Games. Entry materials for the other Summer Games sports will be available online at the Grand Canyon State Games website at www.gcsg.org statewide beginning in mid - April 2013.
