Skiing and Snowboarding
LOCATION: Arizona Snowbowl for Alpine events, February 25-February 26, 2012.
EVENTS:
Skiing & Snowboarding Giant Slalom on Phoenix/Agassiz runs (Intermediate/Advanced Racers)
*Saturday, February 25, 2011, registration from 7:30am to 9:00 am in the Agassiz Lodge
*The race will be in a two run format with combined times. Racing beings at 10:30am.
*Skier/Boarder Cross on the Sunset Lift (13 years and older only).
*Sunday, February 26th, registration from 7:30 to 9:00am in the Agassiz Lodge.
*Race will be in groups of 4 with the top 2 advancing. Single elimination event.
AGES: Skiing and Snowboarding Giant Slalom (ages as of 12-31-11): 6 and under, 7-8, 9-10,11-12, 13-14, 15-16, 17-18, 19-25, 26-30, 31-35, 36-40, 41-45, 46-50, 51-60, 61-70, 71-80, 81-90. Note: Helmets required for Skier Cross and Boarder Cross events. Helmets recommended for Giant Slalom events.
AGES: Skier/Snowboarder Cross (ages as of 12- 31-11) 13-15, 16-18, 19-25, 26-35, 36-45, 46-55, 56+ *Must be at least 13yrs of age to compete in this event.
DIVISION/COSTS: Skier Giant Slalom-$25, Snowboard Giant Slalom-$25, Skiercross-$25, Boardercross-$25. Lift Ticket is required and is offered by the Arizona Snowbowl at half price.
ENTRY PROCEDURES: Registration is taken up to and on race day but early sign-up is strongly encouraged. No registration will be taken after 9am on Race Day. Entry form and registration available: (1) on-line at www.flagstaffskiclub.org. (2) by mail at Flagstaff Ski Club, (2 S. *Registration is NOT taken on the Grand Canyon State Games entry form, website or at the State Games Office.
