Valley of the Sun Half Marathon
LOCATION: Salt River Recreation - March 9, 2008. All participants are bussed to the start line on Usery Pass
for a 6:15 a.m. start. (1320 N. Bush Highway Mesa).
EVENTS: 13.1 mile run or walk; 13.1 mile 4-person relay.
DIVISIONS: 13.1 mile run: 17 and under, 18-24, 5 year age groups for
25-79, 80+. Relay: Corporate, Media, Government, Family,
Fire/Police/Emergency, Open-Male, Open-Female, Open-Coed, Youth-Male,
Youth-Female, Youth-Coed. Youth team members must be 18 or under in
grades 6-12. Coed = 2 males/2
females.
REGISTRATION: Registration is NOT taken on the Grand Canyon State Games entry form or website.
However, entry forms are available at the Games office and can be dropped off at the Games office. They
can also be mailed to Valley of the Sun Half Marathon, 2733 N. Power Rd. Suite 102-300, Mesa, AZ 85215.
Registration is available online at www.runvalleyofthesun.com. NO RACE DAY REGISTRATION.
ENTRY FEES: Early entry deadline (postmarked on or before) February 5, 2008: Half Marathon $60, Relay
$170. After February 5: Half $70 and Relay $190.
PACKET PICK-UP: All participants must pick up race numbers and timing chips at Indian School Park, 4289
N. Hayden Rd. , Scottsdale, 85251 on Saturday, March 8, 2008 from 10:30 a.m.-5:00 p.m.

This sport is “Not” part of the International Summer Games. Entry materials for the International Summer Games will be available at all Fulton Homes Communities, APS locations, Sleep America stores, and Keller Williams Realty locations statewide beginning in April 2008.
