In-Line Hockey
NEW FORMAT for 2008! The Grand Canyon State Games (GCSG) and Arizona
Inline Interscholastic Hockey Association (Aziiha) have joined forces to offer
High School and Adult Inline Hockey opportunities. In October 2007 AZiiHA is
offering a Recreational League for Elementary and Middle School age's. In January
2008, Aziiha will offer a High School Inline Hockey League played at area rinks. The
league will culminate in the prestigious AZ State Interscholastic Inline Hockey “State
Championships” hosted by the Grand Canyon State Games. High School teams will
compete all season long for the chance to participate for the AZ State
Interscholastic Championship crown.
IN ADDITION: ALL Competitors qualify for the State Games of the West Championships in Colorado
Springs, Colorado on July 24-27, 2008. Eight thousand athletes from thirteen Western States,
competing for State pride & medals, are expected at venues such as the US Air Force Academy & the
HIGH SCHOOL OVERVIEW: Aziiha is Arizona’s official interscholastic Inline Hockey Association and its
leagues will offer the Interscholastic State Championships in conjunction with Grand Canyon State Games.
Top 4 teams in each High School division will earn passage to High School Nationals. For complete

LOCATION: Castle Sports Club and other locations if necessary, for the State Championships and
league. The league will begin play in January and culminates with the State Championship to be held
April 2008.
ENTRY FEES: League fee covers all League and State Championship costs - contact by email John
Marr, john@aziiha.org. Registration NOT accepted for Interscholastic Inline (HS) on the Grand
Canyon State Games entry form, at their offices, or online at their website.
ELIGIBILITY: High school is not an open event. All teams must be participating members in the Aziiha
Interscholastic season to qualify for the Interscholastic State Championships.
DIVISION: Elementary - K-2 & 3-5, Middle School - 6-8, High School - JV 9-10th, V-11th-12th.
* All teams must adhere to the Aziiha rules. All athletes must attend same school (proof required).
** Divisions may be combined by GCSC Commissioner.
GENERAL INFORMATION: Interscholastic State Championships - 3 game guarantee, 2-15 minute
periods, 8 goal mercy rule, NO Stop time, roster limited to 15 athletes maximum, coach/captain must
attend coaches meeting and check in @ GCSG office April TDA. This is an AAU/USARS Sanctioned
Event modified AAU/USARS rules apply.

RECREATIONAL-ADULT
LOCATION: Castle Sports Club - April 26-27, 2008.
ENTRY FEES: $285.00 per team (includes AAU Membership).
ENTRY DEADLINES: April 12, 2008 after this date add $20 late fee. Late entry deadline must be in the
GCSC office by April 19, 2008. Any entry after April 19 must be approved by the Commissioner and
will be based on space availability. For Adults-registration, please use the State Games entry form,
website, or stop by their office.
DIVISIONS: D-1 (23yrs & under), Adult (24yrs & up), and Senior (35 & Older).
AGE DETERMINATION: Players age as of December 31, 2007. Girls may play down 1 year. Player must
be 19 to play adult. Divisions may be combined by GCSC Commissioner.
RULES & FORMAT: Same as Interscholastic division listed above. All teams must be prepared and
ready to play 1 hour prior to scheduled game time. Coach/Manager must attend coaches meeting and
check team in at the Grand Canyon State Games office Thursday, April 24, 2008 at 6 p.m.
