Archery - Target

 

LOCATION: Papago Park Archery Range in Phoenix - Saturday & Sunday &16, 2008. (NW of McDowell Rd. & 64th St.)

IN ADDITION: ALL Competitors qualify for the State Games of the West Championships in Colorado Springs, Colorado on July 24-27, 2008. Eight thousand athletes from thirteen Western States, competing for State pride & medals, are expected at venues such as the US &the US Olympic Training Center.

EVENT: 900 Round - 30 arrows at 3 different distances for a total of 90 arrows.

DATE & SCHEDULE:


Saturday, March 15, 2008: Adults & College.


8:00 AM: Setup and Practice
9:30 AM: Scoring
9:30 AM: Long and Middle distances shot - 5 ends of 6 arrows at each distance
Noon: Lunch Break
1 PM: Short distance shot - 5 ends of 6 arrows
2 PM: Awards Ceremony

ENTRY FEE: Adult $30, Youth 16 yrs. & under $25. There are no park or range fees.

ENTRY DEADLINE:
Early entry deadline (must be postmarked on or before) March 1, 2008. After that date add $5 late fee. On site registration taken with Commissioners approval - Add $5 Late Fee.

RULES: Standard National Archery Association / FITA tournament / range / rules & scoring will be in

DISTANCES BY DIVISIONS:
Yeoman & Bowman, up to 12yrs. old 20 / 15 / 10 meters
Cub & Cadet, 13 -16yrs. old 40 / 30 / 20 meters
&Senior & Master (50-59 yrs). Master (60-69 yrs) and (70+) 60 / 50 / 40 meters

This sport is “Not” part of the International Summer Games. Entry materials for the International Summer Games will be available at all Fulton Homes Communities, APS locations, Sleep America stores, and Keller Williams Realty locations statewide beginning in April 2008.
