Adventure Racing

 

LOCATION: Camp Verde, AZ, March 29, 2008

A 4:30am pre- race meeting (mandatory) with an event start of 8am.

ENTRY FEES: $105 solo’s, $190 - 2 person teams, $285 - 3 person teams, $380 - 4
person teams.

ENTRY DEADLINES: Early entry deadline Saturday, March 8, 2008. After that date add $15 late fee per person. Late entry deadline no later than Thursday, March 27th. No on-site entries taken. For entry procedures, please visit www.SierraAdventureSports.com for access to a printable entry form or a link to register electronically through Active.com. Registration is not taken on the Grand Canyon State Games entry form, Website or at the State Games Office.

COURSE: The exact route of the course & order of events is kept secret until the morning of the race. You will be traveling 30-35 miles on foot, by mountain bike, and by kayak/canoe(s), which you must supply for your team. All travel is completed using a provided map to navigate your way from point to point. Please visit the “Events” page at www.SierraAdventureSports.com for more details regarding the event. A non-competitive “Recreational” course of shorter distances will be available as well.

DIVISIONS: Solo – Male & Female, 2 Person – Coed, Male, Female, 3 or 4 person (combined) Coed, Male,

NOTE: This race stands alone for purposes of the Grand Canyon State Games, however, points accumulated in this race will accrue toward totals for the 2008 Desert Rage series as this is also known as Desert Rage II.

This sport is “Not” part of the International Summer Games. Entry materials for the International Summer Games will be available at all Fulton Homes Communities, APS locations, Sleep America stores, and Keller Williams Realty locations statewide beginning in April 2008.
