International Summer Games
Wiffleball
LOCATION: Saturday, June 21, 2008 - Chaparral Park in Scottsdale. Registration 7:00-7:45 a.m. Games start at 8:00 a.m. See national qualifier info below.
ENTRY FEES: $90 per Fastpitch team, $60 per Recreation team.
ENTRY DEADLINES: Early entry deadline (postmarked on or before) June 7, 2008.
After that date add $15 late fee. Late entry deadline (must be received) by June 18, 2008. Any entry after June 18th will be accepted only with the Commissioners’ approval
and will be based on space availability.
DIVISIONS:
COMPETITIVE - No pitching speed restrictions. This division is for the teams that not only want to have fun but are competitive. Teams will also gain points towards qualifying for “Fastplastic” National Championship in Austin, Texas (Oct 4-5, 2008). For more information go to www.fastplastic.net.
RECREATIONAL - This division is for the teams that don't have the desire to be super competitive and/or don't have pitchers that can throw very hard. Players must pitch the ball at a speed that gives hitters reasonable amount of time to hit the ball. This division can also qualify for “fastplastic” AAA(recreation) division National Championship in Los Angeles, California. For more information go to www.fastplastic.net and look for the AAA link.
Both divisions are open to male and female athletes of ANY age or skill. The skill that you must possess to
participate in any of the divisions is the skill of having fun.
RULES: Teams consist of 3-5 players. All teams are guaranteed 3 games. After the 3-4 round robin games
an elimination tournament will begin for all qualifying teams, in both divisions. HR contest and other
prize giveaways! No metalcleats are permitted. Bat/Balls may be provided by the tournament, contact
AZ Wiffleball prior to tournament. Teams may use this equipment or their own if it meets within specs
defined by AZ Wiffle Ball. Please go to www.azwiffle.com for a complete list of rules, along with bat and
ball specs. All teams should also allow time to play games on Sunday if rain or other issues force a
second day to finish the tournament.
EQUIPMENT & UNIFORMS: Uniforms are not required but welcome. All equipment except
balls/bats(unless you have made arrangements with AZWiffleball) used in the tournament will be
provided by the Arizona Wiffle Ball League. If you wish to use your own bats or balls please visit our site
