International Summer Games
Track and Field - Youth
LOCATION: Saturday May 8th, 2010 - Tucson High Magnet School
(400 N. Second Avenue, Tucson, AZ 85705). Starts at 9 a.m. Sponsored and
sanctioned by USA Track & Field, Arizona.
IN ADDITION:This meet will serve as the qualifying meet for the STATE GAMES of
AMERICA, there is No additional entry fee. Athletes who compete in this meet automatically qualify for the
STATE GAMES of AMERICA, to be held in San Diego, CA, August 4-7, 2011. Additional information in regard
to the games will be available at the competition.
ENTRY FEES: $3.00 per athlete.
ENTRY DEADLINE:All USA Track & Field member entries will be done on-line: www.coacho.com. Online registration deadline is Midnight, Thursday May 6, 2010, (Mountain time). Grand Canyon State
Games entries may be done online at www.gcsg.org, (these entries will be subject to a service charge).
Paper entries will also be accepted though the GCSG office. Entry deadline for ALL entries is Midnight,
May 6th.
EVENT LIMITS: Limit 3 events including relays, for Sub-Bantam, Bantam, and Midget; 4 events
including relays for Youth, Intermediate and Young Men/Women. NOTE: Sub-Bantam limited to the
100m, 200m, Long Jump, Mini Javelin and 4x100m relay.
AGE GROUPS/ELIGIBILITY: The competition is open to all youth athletes. USA Track & Field membership
IS NOT REQUIRED. Competition will be conducted in the following age divisions, Year of Birth: Sub-Bantam
(2002-03), Bantam (2000-01), Midget (1998-99), Youth (1996-97), Intermediate (1994-95), Young Men/Women
(1992-93).
FIELD EVENTS: All athletes will be given 3 attempts, with the top 9 going to finals, for 3 additional
attempts (excluding the Pole Vault and High Jump).
AWARDS & RULES: Ribbons first thru sixth place, all events. Current USA Track & Field rules will apply.
CONDUCT: Coaches and parents are responsible for the conduct of all their team members. Failure to maintain proper control and to display good sportsmanship could result in the removal of the team or individual from further USATF competition. NO SMOKING WILL BE ALLOWED ON THE FIELD OF COMPETITION OR IN THE STANDS. ALCOHOL IS NOT PERMITTED ON SCHOOL PROPERTY; CONSUMPTION WILL BE IMMEDIATELY REPORTED TO THE POLICE.
