LOCATION: June 19, 2010 - West Chandler Aquatic Pool - 250 South
Kyrene Rd., Chandler. Ph: 480-783-8262. A 1 day meet Only!

ENTRY FEES: Youth Events - $13 first event, 2 events $18, 3 or more events $20; Masters-$22 (includes up to 4 events).

ENTRY DEADLINE: Early entry deadline (postmarked on or before) Saturday June 5, 2010. Late entry deadline June 14, 2010. Any entry after June 14th
accepted only with Commissioners’ approval & a $10 late fee will be added. Absolutely NO entries accepted day of the meet!

RULES: Actual heat and lane assignments not available until the day of competition.
All events will be timed finals with awards presented to top three finishers.

COMPETITION IN 3 DIVISIONS:
• Recreation (Youth) - Athletes 18 years or younger, not training with USA Swimming club or competing
in a USA Swimming meet after 3/1/09.
• Open (Youth) - Any athlete 18 or younger, including USA swimmers.
• Adult/Masters - Any athlete 19 or older, regardless of whether registered (i.e. USA, USMS) or not.
• Limit (4) swims per athlete.

SATURDAY: THREE SESSIONS
Session 1: Warm-ups at 7a.m, meet starts at 8 a.m. Ages 6 & under, 8 & under, 9-10.
• Order of Events: 100y Free, 50y Back, 25y Back, 50y Breast, 50y Fly, 25y Fly, 50y Free, 100y Indiv. Medley.

Session 2: Warm-ups at 9:30am. Meet starts no sooner then 10:30am. Ages: 11-12, 13-14, 15-18.
Session 2 will start at end of Session 1. *Warm-up in competition tank during Session 1 Awards. Diving
well available throughout the meet for Warm-up and swim downs.
• Order of Events: 100y Free, 50y Back, 100y Back, 50y Breast, 100y Breast, 50y Fly, 100y Fly, 50y Free, 100y Indiv. Medley, 200y Indiv. Medley.
• Youth Age Groups: 6 & under, 8 & under, 9-10, 11-12, 13-14, 15-18.
• Athletes eligible for Recreation Division may choose to compete in some Open Division events, subject to four swim limit - TOTAL FOR THE DAY.

Session 3: Swimming under the Stars – 19 & over. Warm-up at 6pm. - Meet starts at 7pm. All athletes
19 & over, including Adult/Masters Division.
• Order of Events: (19 & Over) 100y Breast, 200y Free, 100y Back, 50y Free, 200 Fly, 50y Breast, 100y Indiv. Medley, 200y Back, 100y Fly, 200y Indiv. Medley, 50y Back, 200y Breast, 100y Free, 50y Fly, 500y Free.
• Events to be SEEDED BY TIME; with AWARDS given BY DIVISION and AGE GROUP.
• Masters Age Groups: 19-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, etc. through ALL ages (i.e. all Masters age groups).
• (USA)/United States card Masters Swimming (USMS) rules apply.
• USA Swimming APPROVAL and USMS RECOGNITION will be sought to allow times achieved in GRAND CANYON STATE GAMES to be available for use within those organizations.
• No affiliations with any swimming governing body is required for participation in GCSG, though USMS athletes must provide a copy of their USMS registration number if they wish their times to be recognized.
• Age on competition date sets swimmer’s age group; Swimmer may only swim events in their age group.
• Swimmers should enter with a SHORT COURSE (25 yard pool) time for each event, if possible. If the swimmer has no time, enter as NO TIME. Entries without entry times will be seeded as NO TIME.

EVENTS: The following events will be offered (male and female heats for each event): Heat sheets and lane assignments will not be available until day of competition.
