Softball
Due to the June Softball calendar, the entire 2009 Grand Canyon State Games sports festival has landed close to the same weekend as the City of Phoenix’s Firecracker Softball Competition. In the best interest of all athletes, the Grand Canyon State Games and the City of Phoenix have mutually agreed to avoid any conflict to competitors. In 2009, the Grand Canyon State Games would like to direct all our loyal Softball athletes that have played in previous State Games Softball competitions to consider competing in the Firecracker Softball event in appropriate divisions. We consider this a viable option, as this event is a very wellrun and respected Softball tournament.
FIRE CRACKER SOFTBALL TOURNAMENT: June 26, 27,28 2009.
SOFTBALL SITES: Papago Sports Complex, Rose Mofford Softball Complex & Desert West Sports Complex.
COST: Youth Fast Pitch $325 before June 5th, $350 June 6-12th. Adult Men’s, Women’s Co-Ed & Seniors $250
before June 5th, $275 June 6-12, 2009.
