International Summer Games

 

BMX Bike Racing

 

LOCATION: Sunday, June 26, 2011 - Black Mountain BMX bike competition (24024 N. 11th St.). Take 101 North to 7th St., go North to Almeda, turn right, approximately 2 blocks to the track.

ENTRY FEES: $10 per class & cruises for single point race. Open class $5. Sign-ups taken from 6:30pm-7:30pm. Race starts at 8pm.


ENTRY DEADLINE: Early entry deadline (submitted on or before) Saturday June 11, 2011. Registration taken at the track on the day of event. No late registration fee for registering at track on the day of event.

RULES: Races will be according to American Bicycle Association Rules. Bicycles for Boys & Girls competition must have no more than a 20" wheel diameters. Bicycles for Boys & Girls Cruisers must have no less than 24" wheel diameters. A beginner racer is called Novice, until they win 8 first place trophies, he/she becomes an Intermediate until he/she wins 25 first place trophies, and then becomes an Expert. Beginner girls may choose to race in the Novice Boys class or in the Girls class. A Girl racer that has won 8 first place trophies in the Boys Novice class must race in the Girls class. All racers must wear a helmet, long sleeve shirt, long pants & tennis shoes. Loaner helmets are available at the track. Bicycles must have kickstands, chain guards and reflectors (that stick out) removed. All AZ riders statewide are eligible to compete in these competitions. Bikes are for rent for $5, Limited number available.
