Champions One And All
The
Grand Canyon State Games is a multi-sport Olympic Festival for Arizona
amateur athletes of all ages and abilities. The Games is organized by
the Arizona Sports Council and is affiliated with 47 other state games
throughout the United States. It is sanctioned by the U.S. Olympic Committee
through the National Congress of State Games. The Games seeks to provide
Arizonans with an avenue for personal development through sports. In 2007,
over 30,000 Arizonans participated.
Vision: “The Grand Canyon State Games provides a year-round and statewide showcase for the talents and aspirations of our amateur athletes, regardless of age or ability, and an opportunity to celebrate and share many of the great attributes of our state.”
Mission: “To build
and improve the quality, participation and excellence of all events
sponsored by the Grand Canyon State Games, and to serve as a model
for other states across our nation.”
